Much props to Adele, the original was great, the lyrics were uplifting.
But John Legend just did it better…such soulfulness!

The emergence of Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Southern California has really challenged the authority of In-n-out Burger. I actually had Five Guys for the first time during my time in Orlando, FL and when I heard that there were a few popping up in Southern California, I was pretty excited.
How does it measure up to the oh-so-prestigious In-n-Out? In both restaurants, you really get what you pay for. As you can see, Five Guys is generally more expensive. But if you’re a two double-double per visit kind of guy like me, Five Guys seems like a better options. Their burger (which comes standard with a double patty) tastes so much more fresh than an In-n-out burger. Did I mention there are about 328934732 kinds of condiments that they’ll put in your burger? Yeah, ALL burgers are made to order?
What about the fries? My goodness they are delicious. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, as french fries were supposed to be. They also have cajun fries, which I’ve found are not as spicy as you’d hope. But the regular fries are thick and hearty, and the amount they give you is very generous. While In-n-out puts their fries in a horizontal boat shaped holder, Five Guys stores your fries in a cup that would normally be used for a beverage. Usually, the fries are overflowing out of the cup and throughout the generic brown bags that your order comes in.
Decor wise? Five Guys adopted a VERY generic red text for their logo. Inside the restaurant though, you’ll be met with such hubris…
But this is fine, because after you sink your teeth into their hand crafted burger, you’ll see why they’re so proud.

This will really make you think…
With it being harder and harder to get into college nowadays, would a total revamp of the education system be widely beneficial? I seem to think so. If everyone were to go at their own pace, no one would fall behind…

A little business meeting with Ed at one of our favorite burger joints in Downtown San Mateo, Jeffrey’s Hamburgers.
It’s a small place, but the burgers are amazing. Nothing but fresh here.
Don’t just take it from me, four stars on yelp helps it speak for itself…
