Brand

Founded by Nick Lew and Edwin Lee in 2008, Effobe is an urban clothing brand that celebrates Asian American culture. We were inspired to create Effobe not only by our interest in street culture and the Asian lifestyle, but by the passion for art and by an obvious truth—that Asian Americans do not have a brand to relate to. Simply put, we realize that Asian Americans are underrepresented in art and media and we feel compelled to do something about it.

Effobe has been in the “apple of our eye” ever since 2004, when it took the form of Fob Films and Fob Forum. Our goals for these projects were to entertain and connect individuals within the Asian community. They gave us the opportunity to exercise the creative prowess suppressed by school and by (literally) the “Asian parent.” Although sadly they were discontinued, Effobe, our current project, has been the result of all the hard work and passion throughout the years.

Our goal for Effobe is to connect with the Asian American community through the use of art, media, and culture. We hope the community has as much fun with our product as we had designing them. Always remember to orient yourself. Keep it peaceful, keep it Effobe. It’s not a trend. It’s a way of life.
